The Friday night before the Harvest Stompede (Friday, September 9) offers a couple of neat events in Traverse City.

You can enjoy a self guided tour of galleries in downtown Traverse City from 5-9 PM during their fall art walk. Several galleries are featuring wine from Leelanau Wineries. Walking guides available at each participating merchant the evening of the event, and there will be prize drawings at participating locations. Also on Friday evening is the Grand Parade of Sail, featuring eight schooners! It’s part of the Michigan Schooner Festival which takes place all weekend.
