Toast the Season – Holiday Wine & Food Celebration
Toast the Season is SOLD OUT!! Remember that although the event is sold out, our wineries are still open!
The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association’s Toast the Season wine tour is a Northern Michigan holiday tradition. Every year in November we offer two consecutive weekends of tasting and touring – that’s November 5 & 6 or November 12 & 13, 2011.
Your tour features a gift bag (details below!) and wine & food pairings at our 19 member wineries. Visit 8 each day in whatever order you desire between the hours of 11am to 5pm Saturday and noon to 5pm Sunday.

“This is a great time for families and friends to gather to celebrate the upcoming season and even get started on their holiday shopping,” says winemaker Adam Satchwell of Shady Lane Cellars. “Wines and other items from Leelanau Peninsula tasting rooms are the perfect gift for the holidays. Our wines compliment holiday meals, cocktail parties or any gathering and they make great gifts!”
The tour features a special wine pour accompanied by holiday themed gourmet food at each of the 18 Leelanau Peninsula member wineries. At your starting winery you will be given a commemorative glass, an LPVA holiday ornament and a holiday gift bag featuring Toast the Season features a special wine & food pairing at each of the 19 Leelanau Peninsula member wineries.
In addition, you will be given a commemorative glass, an LPVA holiday ornament, a souvenir wine key and a holiday gift bag featuring fair trade coffee from Higher Grounds Trading Company of Traverse City, cocoa-coated chocolate covered almonds from Grocer’s Daughter Chocolate in Empire, and (of course) Michigan cherries from Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor!
